Flashpoint R2 Pro with Godox flashes?

Hello anybody!

So the Flashpoint R2 Pro is on sale at present on Adorama, and I wonder if information technology will work with my Godox speedlights and strops.

It read that they are the aforementioned company but with different names.

I have not tried it, but Adorama fifty-fifty acknowledges that Flashpoint products are Godox manufactured

Information technology does if your Godox speedlights take born 2.iv GHz transceivers. Adorama has had Godox create a few additional units in the organization they call back are needed (but Godox doesn't), exclusively for them: the R2 Pro II, and the SPT unmarried-pin transceivers.

Information technology read that they are the aforementioned company but with unlike names.

Little more than complicated than that. The U.s. retailer, Adorama, rebrands the Godox X gear as Flashpoint R2 then that they'll know, since Adorama has to supply warranty replacements and client support, whether someone actually bought the gear from them, or simply snagged a generic Godox unit off aliexpress or something and is trying to get free support from them.

Withal. Not everything that's Godox is in the Godox X system. And not everything labelled equally Flashpoint on Adorama is either. So, while it's mostly true (like 98% of the time), just proverb Godox and Flashpoint are the aforementioned thing and 100% compatible is an over-simplification with some gotchas.

Godox 433 MHz gear, obviously, is not compatible with its ii.4 GHz gear. Adorama labels the 433 MHz gear as Flashpoint R1 vs. Flashpoint R2 for the 2.4 GHz Ten-system gear.

There'southward the weird fiddling bibelot of the Godox FC16 triggers, which are 2.four GHz and apparently ship with a ton of Neewer flashes, but make no mention of whether or not they're compatible (I'd estimate not).

Early on, however, Adorama also labelled some Jinbei lights every bit Flashpoint, but have since grade-corrected and now brands the Jinbei RT system as "Orlit." Which we all suspect is now turning into the Westcott FJ organization.

In the Godox corner of the wood, there are also even so a lot of older models floating near that either have no radio triggering in them (Godox TT560 aka the Neewer TT560 and at one point the Amazon Basics flash), or use the older 433 MHz system (Godox TT520/560 II).

Information technology does if your Godox speedlights have built-in two.4 GHz transceivers. Adorama has had Godox create a few additional units in the organization they think are needed (just Godox doesn't), exclusively for them: the R2 Pro Ii, and the SPT single-pin transceivers.

Nonetheless. Not everything that's Godox is in the Godox X system. And not everything labelled every bit Flashpoint on Adorama is either. So, while it's by and large truthful (like 98% of the time), just maxim Godox and Flashpoint are the same thing and 100% compatible is an over-simplification with some gotchas.

Godox 433 MHz gear, manifestly, is not compatible with its 2.4 GHz gear. Adorama labels the 433 MHz gear as Flashpoint R1 vs. Flashpoint R2 for the 2.four GHz X-system gear.

At that place'due south the weird little anomaly of the Godox FC16 triggers, which are 2.iv GHz and apparently send with a ton of Neewer flashes, but make no mention of whether or not they're compatible (I'd judge not).

Early on, however, Adorama also labelled some Jinbei lights as Flashpoint, but take since course-corrected and now brands the Jinbei RT system every bit "Orlit." Which we all doubtable is now turning into the Westcott FJ arrangement.

In the Godox corner of the forest, at that place are also still a lot of older models floating about that either have no radio triggering in them (Godox TT560 aka the Neewer TT560 and at one point the Amazon Basics wink), or utilize the older 433 MHz system (Godox TT520/560 2).

Thank you so much Kli for your valuable input. I do appreciate your help.

From someone who uses both Godox and Flashpoint strobes and triggers, I tin can tell you that they are interchangeable.  I accept had no issues using a FP trigger with my Godox strobe and vice versa.

The but caveats to what I have said are:

1.  Yes, you need all strobes/triggers to be the 2.4ghz version.  I use AD600 and AD1200 and the Flashpoint counterparts.

2.  I have never shot TTL with these so I Do NOT know if there is full TTL compatibility, but I don't run across why not?

Thanks Mike for your reply!

I will try to transport an email to Adorama and ask them almost the TTL compatibility.
